Otumfuo destooled Sabronum Gyaasehene, the Akyeamhene, and the Baamuhene due to their involvement in galamsey activities


 Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has destooled some chiefs in the Ashanti region for their involvement in dubious dealings.

The chiefs involve Sabronum Gyaasehene, the Akyeamhene, and the Baamuhene who have all been leaders in their respective areas.

According to the report, the Asantehene distooled them due to their involvement in galamsey activities in their respective areas.

Illegal mining, locally referred to as Galamsey has been a nationwide problem for Ghanaians for years now.

While the government is doing their possible best to put a stop to Galamsey, it is rather looking like a booming business for few.

Chiefs and other high-profile personalities have been accused on multiple occasions as those behind the entire Galamsey businesses.

According to Otumfuo, he hard the news long ago that the above named chiefs were involved in the act but decided to observe them for a while.

After being convinced that they were truly involved in the act, he decided to distool them with immediate effect.
